SMITHVILLE “ Dorothy E. Scott, 76, of Smithville passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center in Akron. She was born December 31, 1936 in Wooster, the daughter of Floyd and Ruth A. Fetter Franks. She had been a custodian at the OARDC and had worked in shipping and receiving at Buehlers. Dorothy was a member of the East Union Lutheran Church and she enjoyed attending auctions, gardening and yard work. She is survived by a daughter Janet (Glen) DeHart of Smithville, sons Robert and James of Wooster and Ronald (Kim) Scott of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren Kristen Rainbolt, Aidyn Scott, Jeremy Scott and Christopher Scott; sisters Hazel (Walt) Perry of Wooster and Roberta Franks of California; a sister-in-law Mary Lou Franks of Liberty, KY and a brother-in-law Dave Moore of Burbank. She was preceded by a daughter Christina Scott in 2007, a brother Richard Franks and sisters Arlene Moore and Gladys J. Franks. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 5-7:00 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Moskowitz officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make contributions to the Building Fund at East Union Lutheran Church, 7063 E. Lincoln Way, Wooster, OH 44691 or to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
