WOOSTER – Michael L BARNES, 74, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his home. He was born December 18, 1938 in Anderson, IN, the son of Dwight and Doris Shippy Barnes. He married Polly Mitten on February 24, 1962. She survives. He had worked in retail management, was a member of St. James Episcopal Church where he was a member of the Vestery. He had previously lived in St. Petersburg, Florida. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Michael Barnes, II of Wooster and a brother, Leo Barnes of St. Petersburg, FL. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Abigail Barnes. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. James Episcopal Church, 127 W. North St., Wooster at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Evelyn Manzella officiating.
