Harold Weiler Redick, 81, of Wooster, died Wednesday July 3, 2013 at his home.
He was born March 14, 1932 in Wooster, son of James Chatfield œJC  and Beryl Weiler Redick.
On March 22, 1953 he married Ruby Elaine Zimmerman, who survives.
Harold was a farmer and had a farming partnership with his brother John for many years before the business was turned over to their sons.   He loved farming, his family and traveling.   Harold was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and was a 1950 graduate of Wooster High School.   Harold was also a member of the Wayne County Fair Board for 34 years, the New Pittsburg Fire and Rescue Department for 33 years where he served as assistant chief for a number of years.   H also served on the New Pittsburg Fire and Rescue Board for 34 years and was a member of the Cattlemen ™s Association.
Along with his wife, Ruby, Harold is survived by his children Linda Smith of Red Haw, Sharon (Mike) Martin, Marilyn Jo (Barry) Welch and Carl (Carla) Redick all of Wooster; grandchildren Jason (Brandy) Smith of Wooster, Krista (Jacob) Kidney of Wadsworth, Brent Martin of Gambier, Scott Martin of Wooster, Nick (Sarah Lints) Welch of Westerville, Jared (Lindsey) Welch of Nashville, TN, Michael Redick and Matthew (Shanna) Redick both of Wooster; great grandchildren Madilyn and Emily Smith and Miranda Kidney; brother John D. Redick of Wooster and his loyal canine friend Lady.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Mary Elizabeth.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 7 at 2:00 PM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 9451 Ashland Road, Wooster with Pastor Mel Kirk officiating.   Interment will follow in New Pittsburg Cemetery.   Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00-8:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
