Shirley A. Clifton, 80, of Wooster formerly of Mt. Vernon, OH. and Marshall Minnesota died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at the Wayne County Care Center in Wooster.
Shirley was born Feb. 18, 1933 in Mt. Vernon the daughter of Charles Franklin and Iva Catherine Tier Edmister.   On May 22, 1970 she married Jack Wesley Clifton who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked as a housekeeper, a secretary for Mid Prairie Gas in Marshall Minnesota and along with her husband ran a small grocery store in Marshall Minnesota.
She was a member of the Apple Creek American Legion Post 147
Surviving are her children: Lawrence Edwin (Karen) Pealer, of Apple Creek, Connie S. (Jerry) Dollson, of Marengo OH, Charles T. Pealer, of Bradenton Florida, and Michael D. Pealer, of Mt. Vernon. 15 Grandchildren and 15 great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Robert E. Pealer and siblings: Leslie Edmister, Edwin Edmister, Dale Edmister Elizabeth Edmister, Evelyn Cunningham, Elsie Peterson, Catherine Hoskinson, Nettie Johnson and Clara M. Martin.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 31, 2013 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691.   A private family burial will take place at the convenience of the family.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2p.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
