WOOSTER – Bettie Ann HISSNER, 89, of Wooster, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital after a period of declining health.
She was born September 19, 1924 in Gallia, OH, the daughter of Samuel and Gladys Werner Taylor. She had been married to William C. Hissner since January 1948. He survives.
She enjoyed meeting new people in her many RV travels with her husband Bill. Her adventurous spirit took her all over the world, but the place she loved best was home.
She was a loving and devoted mother and wife. Bettie loved nature and animals, too. Over the years she adopted many lucky pets.
Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son, Will R Hissner of Wooster, a sister, Dorothy Rinard of Wooster and a brother Richard Taylor of Columbus.
Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Barbara Jean Hissner-O’Hagin, a grandson, Patrick O’Hagin, brothers, Chester, Edward and Robert Taylor and a sister, Carol Taylor.
She will be sadly missed by her son and husband.
Private family services will be held.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
