Corinne Ann Slater, 69, of Wooster died Saturday August 16, 2014 at West View Healthy Living.
She was born December7, 1944 in Canton to Joseph and Arline Lucas VanSickle.  
Corinne was a RN at various nursing homes in the area as well as with LifeCare Hospice and Wooster Community Hospital.   She was the first female police officer in Wooster and had also been an executive secretary with Borg Warner.   She was very devoted to her family and her nursing career.
She is survived by her children Jeffrey L. (Katherine) Slater and Lisa Rayman both of Wooster; grandchildren Joseph W. (Sharon) Slater, Clifton and Autumn Slater, Sarah and Jacob Rayman all of Wooster; great grandchildren Austin and Hunter Slater; siblings Clarence VanSickle and Carole Mayle both of Canton and a half-sister Linda Lee.
Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents Laura and Jacob Yoder and Gertrude Yoder  and a brother Joseph VanSickle.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday August 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at West View Healthy Living, 1715 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster with Rev. Kirk Fairhurst officiating.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St, is assisting the family.
