WOOSTER – Marianne M CRANE, 82, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman.
She was born June 5, 1932 in Shinnston, WV, the daughter of William H and Ocie Gillum McGonigal. She married David E. Crane on April 17, 1965. He survives.
Marianne was a graduate of Fairmont State College in Fairmont, WV. She retired as a teacher from the Ravenna School System in Portage Co. and had previously taught in the Streetsboro School System and started her teaching career in Owings, WV. She was a member of the Valley College Grange. Marianne enjoyed crocheting and had won some national contests, reading and her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Susan (Stanley) Livingstone of Fenwick Island, Delaware, grandchildren, Christine (David) Cully of Falls Church, Virginia and Troy (Anne) Livingstone of Denton Maryland and great-grandchildren, Connor and Camryn Cully and David Livingstone.
Marianne was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside services will be held at the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery, 1359 S. Pike Street, Shinnston, WV on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 12:00 Noon.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, Wooster is assisting the family.
