WOOSTER – Keiko Kay WILE, 84, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
She was born December 28, 1930 in Okayama Perfecture, Japan, the daughter of Masao and Hamako Kawakami Hisaoka.
She had worked as a typesetter for the Wooster Daily Record.
Surviving are a sister, Sadako Hayami, a niece Mayumi (Anthony Lau) Hayami and great nephews Takashi Lau and Takao Lau all of Hong Kong. In addition to her family in Hong Kong,
Kay is also survived by her American Family who considered her not only to be a friend, but Aunt Kay; Robert (Annemarie) Heckman and Michael (Robyn) McClintock both of Wooster, Jan McClintock of Harpswell, Maine, Claudia McClintock of Grand Junction, Colorado and Debora McClintock Summers of Anchorage, Alaska. Also surviving is Judie Westfall of Wooster who became Kay’s constant companion, caregiver and best friend during the last three years of her life.
Keiko was preceded in death by her father, her husband, Donald E. Wile on October 18, 2011 and a brother, Hidemi Hisaoka.
A memorial service celebrating Kay’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, OH 44691.
