WOOSTER “ John Henry Stoudmire, 89, of Wooster passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at his home.
He was born October 1, 1925 in  Prattville, Alabama the son of Turner and Alice Richards Stoudmire.   He married Rhonda Settles on December 24, 1996.   She survives.
John had worked in the lab at Quality Castings in Orrville.   He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Orrville.   He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, singing with the First Baptist Church male chorus and the Traveling Kings Quintet.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Mary (Curtis) Cross, Jean (Reginald) Appleton, John Stoudmire, Jr., Linda (Roger) Skelly, Ernest (Carol) Stoudmire, Donna Campbell, Lorenzo Stoudmire, Aliceson J. Stoudmire and Jeff Stoudmire all of Wooster, Monica K. Stoudmire of Columbus, Kara Bullard of Xenia and John T. (Sonya) Williams of Chicago, Patsy Stoudmire, Ruby Stoudmire, Perry (Michelle) Settles of Wooster, David (Carol) Seeden of Columbia, SC, Tim Seeden of Akron, Janet Sanford, Verdell Bullard and Dana Bullard all of Orrville and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Katie Lou Palmer Stoudmire and children, Arthur Stoudmire, Tracy Stoudmire, Tom Williams, Jennifer Williams and an infant sister.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 12:00 Noon service on Saturday, September 26 at the Second Baptist Church, 245 S. Grant Street, Wooster with the Rev. Rickey Brown, Sr. officiating.   Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
