APPLE CREEK Roberta Ann Swinehart, 82, of Apple Creek, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
She was born July 1, 1933 in Ashland, the daughter of Robert K. and Myrna Grady Norton.
She married Myron H. Swinehart on August 20, 1961.
Ann retired from Wooster City Schools after 20 years of teaching. She previously worked 5 years in Medical records at The Apple Creek Development Center. Ann graduated from Chester High School and the Kent State University.
She was a member of The Red Hat Society, Retired Teachers Association, Apple Creek Card Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Chester High and Kent State Alumni Associations.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are children Rena (Dave) Clark of Akron, Stu (Theresa) Swinehart of Apple Creek, Trent Swinehart of Shreve, Lee (Randy) Barnes of Ashtabula and Adam (Shirley) Swinehart of Moreland. One brother, Albert Norton of Wooster, grandchildren Shannon (Josh) Schlabach, Lauren Swinehart, Colton Swinehart, Micah Barnes, Lovle Barnes, Shad Swinehart, Shyler Swinehart and Shannah Swinehart. And a Great-Grandaughter, Hadlee Schlabach.
Ann always enjoyed being there for her husband and family s many activities. She could always
light up a room with her personality and always had a joke to share.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, one hour prior to the 11:00 am funeral on Monday October 5, 2015 with the Pastor Brian Burkholder officiating. Burial will follow in the Apple Creek Cemetery.
