Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Weckesser (Weisenburger) passed away on November 24, 2015.  
Betty was born on October 6, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Francis P.   and Helen Weisenburger.   She graduated from Columbus North High School in 1948.   She was a 1952 graduate of the College of Wooster and resided in Wooster for over 50 years.   Betty enjoyed serving in numerous clubs and charitable organizations including Friends of the Library, Wooster United Methodist Church and People to People.   She was an elementary school teacher for 23 years, retiring from Wooster City Schools.   Harry and Betty owned property in Apple Valley and hosted many delightful gatherings there with family and friends.
She married Harry D. Weckesser on Christmas Eve, 1951.   They would have celebrated 64 loving years together next month.     Betty was a devoted mother who leaves three children, Tom (Birdie) Weckesser, from Smithville; Jim (Jan) Weckesser from Wooster, and Jane (Steve) Martin from Minneapolis, MN as well as eight grandchildren.   They are Jacob (Stacey) Weckesser, Katie (Brent) Coleman, Michael (Jill) Weckesser, Annie (Dan) Baker, Christopher (Jody) Martin, Greg Martin, Brad (Emily) Weckesser, and Mary (Brett) Carpenter.   She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, John (Susan) Weckesser, and Tim (Sandi) Weckesser.
Betty enjoyed being surrounded with the love of her 14 great grandchildren: Rosie, Henry and Harrison Weckesser; Elizabeth (named for Betty), Anna Kate, and Lucy Coleman; and Tommy Carpenter; Maddie, Chloe, and Ella Weckesser; Olivia and Mary Baker; Amos Weckesser; and Annabelle Martin.   Betty had so many people who loved her and cared for her deeply.   She will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 27, 2015    at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Charles Tobias officiating.   Interment will follow in St. Michael ™s Cemetery in Marshallville.  
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
