Glenn E. Deal, 81, of Apple Creek, died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice.
He was born November 2, 1934 in Guernsey County to William and Virginia Burris Deal. On June 16, 1955, he married Viola McMahon. She preceded him in death in 2005.
Glenn worked for the Apple Creek Development Center as the laundry manager for 32 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Ohio National Guard in Wooster for 28 years. Glenn was a member of the Fredericksburg Legion and enjoyed woodworking and loved animals. Family and family get-togethers were very important to him.
Along with his wife, Glenn is survived by his children Ronald G. (Deborah) Deal of Bolivar, Ralph E. (Pam) Deal of Wooster, Rachelle A. (Todd) Root of Apple Creek and Robert W. (Lu Ann) Deal of Jeromesville; grandchildren Jennifer (Guy) Rougeux of Fayetteville, NC, Caryn L. (Chad) Betson of Fredericksburg, Sean A. Deal of Nankin, Amiee Nichole Deal of Shreve and Joshua E. (Andrea) Root of Cuyahoga Falls and 7 great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife, Glenn was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Jack McClelland officiating. Interment will follow in Apple Creek Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 4:00 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
