Richard J. œDick  Redett, 98, of Sandusky, formerly of Wooster died Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Commons  of Providence.
Dick was born February 24, 1917 in Fredericksburg to G. Kent and Lenora Scott Redett.   On January 1, 1944 he married Laverne Schrock, who survives.
He was a farmer who also owned and operated the Pitsburg Feed and Grain in Pitsburg, Ohio.   After he retired, he enjoyed travelling the world and playing shuffle board with his grandchildren.   Dick also loved a good joke book.   He was a member of the Pitsburg Lions Club and former Chairman of the Darke County Children’s Home Board.   After his retirement he and Laverne spent 20 winters in Mission, TX and summers at Lakeside, OH.   They are also former residents of Greenville and Pitsburg, Ohio.
Along with his wife, Dick is survived by his children Craig S. (Kathy) Redett of Sarasota, FL, Christine (Chuck Belna) Redett of Sandusky and Jeffrey S. Redett of St. Petersburg, FL; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, a son Richard and a brother Robert Redett.
Private graveside services will be held for the family in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 2:00-3:30 PM at the Commons of Providence Memory Care Center, 4901 Providence Drive, Sandustky, OH 44870.
