Bernice œBebe  Rodney McCoy Carmony, 90, of Wooster died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at LifeCare Hospice.
She was born January 7, 1926 in Springfield, Ohio to LeRoy Thomas and Katherine Heath McCoy and was raised by her step-mother Katherine Routzahn McCoy.   On June 7, 1948, Bebe married Lloyd Lee Carmony.   He preceded her in death on July 7, 1970.
Bebe graduated from Ohio State University in 1948 with a bachelor ™s degree in Social Work.   She retired from Wayne County Children ™s Services as a caseworker.   She was an active member of Smithville United Methodist Church.   She was a member of the Wayne Township Housekeepers Club, Quota International, Garden Club and was a Hospice volunteer for over 20 years.
Bebe is survived by her children Roy Lee Carmony, Tod J. (Pat) Carmony both of Wooster, John R. (Sue) Carmony of Lafayette, CO and Ross A. Carmony of Wooster; long-time family friend Frank C. Mowrer; grandchildren Andrew S. Carmony, Jay L. (Kelli) Carmony, Clint A. (Libby) Carmony, Samuel H. and Adam Carmony and Kimberly (Ian) Wilson; step-grandchildren Michael, Timothy and Shawn (Theresa) Wolfe; great-grandchildren Aedan, James, Lilly and Annabelle Carmony, Beaudin, Conrad and Holland Wilson and step-great-grandchildren T.J., Jeremiah, Jordan, Jacob and Autumn Wolfe.
Along with her husband, Bebe was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, daughter-in-law, Nancy Carmony  and special friends Louise and Elizabeth McCoy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Smithville United Methodist Church, 243 N. Milton St., Smithville, with Rev. Carolyn Berry officiating.   Private family interment will be held in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
