WOOSTER – Marvin J. Jim Kelley, 79, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster following a short illness.
He was born October 3, 1937 in New Milton, West Virginia, the son of George and Goldie Blake Kelley.  He married Mary Haught on October 12, 1956.  She survives.
He had worked for Diebold, Crown Steel and retired from Volvo as a die setter in 1999 after 27 years.  Marvin was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Wilmot.  He loved taking care of Mary, his wife, and spending time with the grandchildren and working in his yard.  He loved guns and was a member of the NRA, motorcycles, cars, tractors, boats and his dog, Rex.  There was not much he didn’t know about all of them.  He did his own work on just about everything.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mary, are his sons Brad (Susan) Kelley and Paul (Michelle) Kelley both of Wooster; grandchildren, Craig (Ray) Kelley of Akron, Nicole (Caleb) Gross of Wooster, Tara Kelley of Orrville and Heather (Brad) Kirven of Wooster; great-grandchildren, Civi and Whinny Kelley, Nickolas, Keagyan, Kaylyn Gross and Lillian, Brody Kirven.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and a dearly missed grandson, Kyle in 2007 and his loved golden retriever, Rex.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. service on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Cliff Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
