WOOSTER “ Dorothy Lucille Wissinger, 98, of Wooster passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Burbank Parke Nursing Home.
She was born January 8, 1919 in Wooster, the daughter of Harry Frank and Ida Mae Imhoff Ackerman.
Dorothy was an accountant for Campbell-Rose and Co. for 27 years and retired in 1983 from Croskey-Hostetler & Mapes.   She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ.   She was a member of the Lydia Martha Circle, the Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Areme Club and the Wooster Hospital Auxiliary. She had lived her entire life in Wayne County.
She is survived by her daughters, Sierra Sue DiGiacomo of Efland, North Carolina and Barbara (Glen) Calihan of West Salem; grandchildren, James, Antionette, Anthony, Nicholas, Christopher, Stephen, Brian, Shawn and Scott; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Ray Davis, an infant grandson and brothers Harry Ackerman, Jr. and Richard Ackerman.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. with an Eastern Star Service at 5:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating.   Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
