Dwight Howard Ogden, 78, of Wooster died Saturday, December 16, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice.
He was born April 28, 1939 in Chester Township to Walter and Ruth Hartman Ogden. He married Nancy J. Ward, on June 22, 1964, who preceded him in death in 2016.
Dwight was a lifelong dairy farmer and upon retirement worked at Smithville Town & Country. He was a 1957 graduate of Northwestern High School. Dwight was a member of Oak Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching sports and especially going to his grandson s events at Northwestern and working outdoors. Dwight had served on the Federal Land Bank Board for a number of years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and was in a local County Farm Bureau council with his wife, Nancy.
He is survived by his children William Ogden of Wooster and Chris (Andy) Cochran of Chester Twp. and a special grandson, Travis Cochran.
Along with his wife, Dwight was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Eleanor Cochran, James Ogden and Jane Wachtel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Oak Chapel United Methodist Church, 4203 W. Old Lincoln Way, Wooster with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating. Interment will follow in Reedsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3:30-6:30 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
