Verla Maxine Jeffers, 91, of Wooster died Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living.
She was born March 14, 1927 in Buckhannon, WV to Roy M. and Lona L. Pritt Morrison.   In December 1967, she married William E. Jeffers who preceded her in death in 2004.
Maxine was a homemaker and had worked at the Packaging Corporation in Rittman in her younger years.   She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, holiday baking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Mark Jeffers of Bedford Hts., step-sons James (Hongwei) Jeffers of McLean, VA and Mike (Tina) Jeffers of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Vera (Larry) Gamertsfelder of Wooster and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, step-son Greg Jeffers and siblings Joel Robert Morrison, Vonda Smith, Violet Boso and Roy M. Morrison.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 3:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating.   Inurnment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
