  3. We regret we are unable to attend the memorial service for your mother this afternoon as we had intended. We hold fond memories of both your parents. They were both very welcoming to us shortly after we were married and welcomed us as part of their sharing group, which was a tremendous blessing to us! It was a healing and teaching time. They made us welcome in their home. Their influence has continued with us as we started a sharing group over 30 years ago, which continues to this day. Don went on to be a local pastor following retirement. We have enjoyed reading her Christmas letters over the years and know the deep love they both had for their children and grandchildren. We are confident their legacy lives on in you all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we pray God’s continued blessing on each of you.
