WOOSTER “ Thomas Otha Daye, 52, of Wooster passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Akron General Hospital.
He was born February 19, 1967 in Millersburg, the son of James and Jewell Friend Daye.
He worked at Technicgraphics with computers.   Thomas loved to fish, hunt and the Pittsburgh Steelers.   He was a member of the NRA.
Surviving are his mother of Boliver; step daughters, Kayla (Tyler) Hoover of Glenmont and Keli Sheady of Millersburg; step-grandchildren, Gavin and Maddie; siblings, Jenny (Marvin) Crosby of Creston, Jerry Daye of Wooster, Vicky Friend of Urichsville and Brian Friend; a step-brother, Michael Johnson of Wooster and 4 step-brothers.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the Noon service on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

  6. Tommy was a really nice and sweet man I’m so glad we got to know him.He wanted to come out this weekend and fish with us I so wish he could have. I’m so sorry to all of his family and friends for the loss of such a good man. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone he touched with his kind heart.

I’ve known Tommy for about 27 years and he was such a great man with a heart of gold, always caring and kind and loving to his friends and family , No doubt he was loved and will be missed tremendously. I love you Tommy and I will miss you and I will never forget how you would just drop a random “Hello , how are you ?” Godspeed my friend , till we meet again.

Deepest regrets to Tommys family and friends.We all missed you at the graduation party and all our family gatherings.You always said if there was good food you would be there.I know how much you missed IRIN and I am sure you and him are arguing about something right now.REST IN PEACE my best friend.

  13. So sorry to hear of Tommy’s passing. He was a good friend to Les. He loved coming to fish with him at the family pond. He will be missed. Prayers to his family.

  14. My heartfelt condolence to the Daye family. I have not seen Tommy or his family since I was a child on their farm in Wooster. We met Tommy at Metro after his accident. My brother Bobby and I spent time on the farm. Everyone was so nice. I’m sorry for your loss.
