Shirley Ann Adams, 77, of Wooster died on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at her daughter’s home.
She was born August 22, 1942 in Shreve to Jim and Dorothy Wile Sovel. On July 2, 1960, she married Milford Adams, Jr. He preceded her in death.
Shirley was a house keeper and cook at Apple Creek Development Center and at West View Healthy Living. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Litchfield and loved playing bingo, playing the lottery and watching game shows.
She is survived by his children Billy (Sondra) Adams, Connie (Brian VanDyne) Adams, Dorothy (John) Garver, Tina (Tim) Yates and Junior (Tammy) Adams all of Wooster; 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; siblings Betty Easterday of Wooster, Margaret (Bill) Johnson and Jimmy (Lynn) Sovel both of OK; nephew Mark Rogers; special cousin Richard Sovel; close friend Luther Minor along with numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Helen Graser and Robert Sovel.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 1:30 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Larry Newsome officiating. Interment will follow in Reedsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

I’m so sorry. Life will end for all of us, but emotions never will. Memories will always be there if you allow them to be. I know its cliche but if you keep memories alive you keep her alive. I’ll continue praying for memories to ease the pain and heartache. Love you guys

Iam so sorry and I wish I could be with my family but God knows my heart is broken but I Know my Aunt Shirley is with Uncle Jr and I will see them both again someday.
