Robert œBob  Stanley Swartz, 76, of Wooster died on Saturday, December 26, 2020.
He was born August 29, 1944 in Wooster to Edward and Arlieen Walton Swartz.   He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Bob had been an electrician, a police officer in both Wooster and Rhode Island and when he finally retired, he had been in the Security Department at Wooster Community Hospital.   He loved his grandkids who were the light of his life, his dogs, mowing his lawn, tinkering around, working with his hands and old cars.   He was quite the jokester and loved the Cleveland Browns.   He was a former member of the American Legion Post 68.
He is survived by his daughters Jill (Dan) Woods and Natalie (Mike) Wrather both of Wooster; grandchildren Remington and Isabella Woods and little Maren Wrather who is on the way; siblings Karen (J.C.) Hostettler and Ed (Sharon) Swartz both of Wooster; several nieces and nephews and his close friends Keith Westover, Ken Ickes, Russ Hershey and friends at 4 Star.
Bob was preceded in death by his sister Jan (Paul) Garver; aunt Lucille œAunt Do  Walton and has been reunited with is canine companions Roxie, Benny and Duke.
Friends will be received on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster.
Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Wooster Cemetery.
