STERLING “ Richard Eugene Wyant, 83, of Sterling passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at his home.
He was born October 25, 1937 in Guernsey County the son of Jerry and Edna Marie Gallagher Wyant.   He married Winnifred œWinnie  Massie on March 3, 1973.   She survives.
He was a self-employed truck driver for over 60 years.   Richard was a member of the First Church of God.   He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle and was a graceful ballroom dancer.
He had served in the Army National Guard.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Bill Bentley of Orrville, Debbie Axelrod of Solon, Richard œRW  (Lora) Wyant of Macon, GA and Alexandria Wyant of Cleveland; grandchildren Taylor, Jordyn and Jared Axelrod; his siblings Sandra O ™Brian, Kathy Chapman, Manuella Mylander and Rebecca Dawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jerry Wyant.
There will be no calling hours and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  9. My deepest sympathy Winnie and family – he will be missed! Yes, he was a likable man and would glide you, Winnie, around the dance floor with his smooth steps, as well as yours following him! The last time I talked with Dick was at a dance and he was so secretly trying to plan your birthday party this year – he didn’t know how he was going to get you secretly there. I believe he pulled it over though! Rest Easy Dick!
