WOOSTER Delroy Grassman, 83, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at West View Healthy Living.
He was born July 23, 1938 in Wooster the son of William and Ruth Girard Grassman. He married Linda Woodruff on September 29, 1956. She survives.
He retired as a pipeline welder from Columbia Gas after 30 years of service. Delroy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Fredericksburg VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and most of all his family.
He proudly served his country with the Army Reserves from 1957 to 1963.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Bill (Linda) Grassman of Wooster, Jeff (Kathy) Grassman of Jeromesville, Barb (Larry) Bresson of Lakeville, Mike (Jody) Grassman of Shreve and LuAnn (Tim) Suppes of Apple Creek; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; siblings Donna Meyer and Kas (Chuck) Monaghan both of Wooster and June (Bob) Mann of Lancaster, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Mark Grassman and great grandchildren Charlie and Westlyn Suppes and siblings Bertile Tootsie Grassman, Robert Grassman, Wilson Rex Grassman, Patricia Wirth and Terry Grassman.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
