Loretta Hardman, age 87, of Wooster passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 after a period of declining health. She was born on February 3, 1935 to Joseph and Pluma Brennan in Shinnston, West Virginia. She married Reverend Rondal Hardman on August 14, 1951. He preceded her in death in 2001.
She was a faithful servant who joined her husband in ministry serving eleven churches in the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. While serving the Marshallville/Easton churches she also worked as the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Wayne County Probate Court. She was an active member of the Apple Creek United Methodist Church where she started a tutoring program for elementary students. She loved to knit slippers, make special baby blankets for each grandchild and others as well as making peanut butter fudge to share with others.
In addition to her husband Rev. Ron, she was preceded in death by daughter Penny Hetsch, son Bill Hardman, and brother Pat Brennan. She is survived by sons, Mike (Dolores) Hardman of Smithville and Charlie (Karen) Hardman of Wooster, son- in-law John (Penny) Hetsch, daughter-in-law Diane (Bill) Hardman, eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren as well as sisters, Joann Kellleher and Catherine Sebulsky.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Apple Creek United Methodist Church, 269 West Main St, Apple Creek with Rev. Tom Snyder. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Marshallville.
The funeral will also be live streamed on the Apple Creek United Methodist Church’s Facebook page.
Calling hours will be held at McIntire, Bradham and Sleek Funeral Home, 216 East Larwill St Wooster on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 5:00 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Seeing that Loretta has passed into Glory has saddened my heart as she & Ron were such a dear friends. We made many memories both in the US and the UK and she will never be forgotten. Sincere condolences to her friends & family, and apologies for not being able to make it to her funeral.
Very sorry to hear she passed away! Pastor Ron & Loretta served at our Red Haw United Methodist Church for six months, it was a short time but was a blessing to have them serve the Lord with us. Our Church stayed friends with them & we went to their home many times. The Hardman Family have a great loss but she is with God & her husband & other loved ones. To the Hardman Family, on behalf of the Red Haw Church we ask God to comfort you & bless you & give you peace. We will be praying for Hardman Family at Church Sunday.
