Mary L. Kobilarcsik, 87, of Wooster died peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2022 surrounded by her children at Ohio s Hospice LifeCare, in Wooster.
She was born July 28, 1934 in Clearfield County, PA to Roy and Jean Cowder Hummel. On July 9, 1955, she married Alexander Kobilarcsik. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Mary had been the assistant manager at Bank One for many years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Cindy (Ray) Medzi of Middleburg Hts., Roger Kobilarcsik of Wooster and Greg Kobilarcsik of Brecksville; grandchildren Jenny (James) Thompson, Kevin (Lauren) Parker, Connor and Samuel Kobilarcsik; great-grandchildren Luca Thompson, Bennett and Jackson Parker and a brother Roger (Ann) Hummel of New Cumberland, PA.
Along with her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law Loreen Kobilarcsik; sister Jean Simcox and brother Charles Hummel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran officiating. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

Mary (Mary Sunshine) was a wonderful friend and our neighbor for the past 17 years. We will miss her happy disposition and companionship. Our sympathies go out to her family, whom she loved dearly.
I worked with Mary for many years beginning with Commercial Bank and retiring with Bank One. We always had a good time talking about our children and our families, We will all miss her smiling face and smile.

Mary was such a caring, giving person! She was loved by all who knew her. Hugs to her family. She loved each of you and was so proud of you! I am honored to know Mary. She was always first to offer to help, and helped create community spirit throughout her condo complex. She was such a lovely, lovely person!
