On October 14th, 2022, Carol Jean Divito left this earth and entered the beautiful gates of Heaven.

Carol was born on December 18th, 1938, at her childhood home in Wooster, Ohio to Paul & Angeline (Chrillo) Silke. In July of 1957 Carol married the man she had been in love with since she was a girl living on Rebecca St, Chet Divito Sr. They raised two beautiful children and she is preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Marie who was lost at childbirth. Also meeting her at the golden gates alongside her daughter are her parents, grandparents as well as stepfather who held a very special place in her heart, Carole Cording.

Surviving in addition to her loving husband are Cheri (Keith) Snoddy of Lakeville, Chet Divito Jr. of Fremont, 4 grandchildren, Gary (Kelly) Divito of Maryland, Katie (Matt) Geitgey of Shreve, Maggie Snoddy of Shreve, and Victoria (John) Pettigrew of Bowling Green, Ohio. Also, 4 beautiful great-grandchildren and one more coming April of 2023. In addition to her human family, she also leaves behind her beloved dogs Pepe and Ceaser who would brighten each one of her days.

Besides being as her husband would describe, the best homemaker there was, Carol also worked as a secretary at Edgewood Middle School, The City of Wooster, and The Unemployment Office. Carol loved crafting and sitting around the card table with her friends playing, talking, and having a great time. Carol was a devout Catholic and was strong in her faith, her family has no doubt she is now up in Heaven rejoicing with our Lord and Savior.

  7. Chet, I was so sorry to read in the paper about Carol. My condolences to you and your family, and to Carol’s many friends. As you know, my friendship with you and Carol began because of Larry. I remember you and Larry together were a pair! On the job, or just together visiting, you had fun. Then Carol and I were included. At this hard time for you, I know God will be with you and get you through it. My prayers for you, with sympathy and love.
