  4. Bob , Carol and Rodney, death is always hard but also mysterious, how they pick the time to leave. Aunt Velma seemed to be waiting to say goodbye to as many family members as she could while politely saying you can leave me alone now I’m ready to go. She is with more family now and I hope I’m lucky enough to see her again. Love you all.

  5. Hugs to Velma’s family. I will miss seeing and talking with her at Westview. When visiting my dad in Bridges, I looked forward to visiting Velma too. I only knew her for 2 months but I loved how she took care of her baby and how neatly she ate her meals. She always had a smile for me. I sure will miss her. What a wonderful woman!

  6. Velma was my wonderful, generous, and beautiful step-mom. We had such wonderful times with my dad, Wilmer Baer, on our trips to Chautauqua, NY, and my visits to Ohio. She meant so much to me and my family. She will always be in our memories.

  9. My deepest sympathy to Velma’s family. I saw her frequently on my trips into West View to visit my mother. Velma always had a smile on her face and was ready to chat. Every time we walked into the Bridges unit, Velma would be there on the sofa to welcome you. My pup would immediately go to her as he knew she would be happy to pet him. We certainly miss seeing Velma.
