Kenneth Edward Myrda, Jr., 61, of Wooster passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on July 26, 1962 in Chicago, IL to Kenneth E. Sr. and Denna V. Hansen Myrda.  On November 10, 1984, he married Tonja E. Lehman.  She survives.

Kenneth was a 1980 graduate of Prosser High School and earned his associates of science from Triton College.  He had worked for Wooster Brush since 2000 as a setup man and previously had done building for his father-in-law David L. Lehman Sr.  Kenneth enjoyed cooking and smoking meats, was a gun enthusiast and loved his family especially his grandsons. He was a member of the Broken Locke Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, Tonja surviving are his son Nicholas (Cheryl) Myrda of Mt. Vernon; grandsons Harrison Edward Myrda and Colby Ray Myrda; mother Denna V. Myrda of Elgin, IL; brother Keith (Yvonne) Myrda of Streamwood, IL; sister Kimberly (Mark) Levine of Elgin, IL; brothers in law David (Colleen) Lehman, Jr. and Mat (Tammy) Lehman; sister in law Lori Lehman; nephews Eddie (Maria) Priego and Johston (Jade) Lehman; nieces Libby Levine, Nicole (Matt) Peters, Jennifer (Justin) Villers and Castiney (Justin) Stallard.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father; brother-in-law Mark A. Lehman; father-in-law David L. Lehman Sr.; and mother-in-law Judith Lehman.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Marty Jacobson officiating.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Friends will be received on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice Life Care, 1900 Akron Rd. Wooster, OH 44691 or Patios for Patriots, Attn: Donations Department, PO Box 36, Dalton, OH 44618.
