Mary Jane Fuhs, 88, of Wooster died on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Smithville Western Care Center.

She was born November 29, 1934 in Cleveland to Dominick and Mary DiGeromino Atwara.  She married Ralph S. Fuhs.  He preceded her in death in 1996.

Mary was a farmer’s wife and homemaker and later in her life worked as a house keeper and live-in caregiver.  She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster.

She is survived by her daughters Betty Sooter of Oakland, CA and Joanne Fuhs of Wooster; grandson John Fuhs-Sooter of Oakland, CA; brothers Patrick Atwara of Cleveland and Joe Atwara of Gray, TN; sisters Margaret Collins, Rosalie Peel and Florence Hillery all of Akron along with multiple nieces and nephews.

Private inurnment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Wooster.
