Joan Hughes, 88, of Wooster died on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
She was born July 19, 1935 in Caryville, TN to John Henry and Lulabelle Barker Fields.
Joan had worked at The College of Wooster in both food service and in the housekeeping departments. She enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her children Rita (Bob) Pado, Dee (Doug) Schreiner and Randy Vitatoe all of Wooster and Ricky (Terri) Vitatoe of Cape Coral, FL; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Vitatoe; her ten siblings and her parents.
Private family graveside services will be held in Wooster Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
