Josephine (Jo) Cermely passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023 at the age of 93 with family at her side.

She was born February 23, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of George and Jean Patrick.  Josephine married Vladimir (Lou) Cermely in 1957 and lived in the Wooster area for over 50 years.  Lou passed away in July of 2011.  They are dancing together again.

Josephine was a wonderful, loving wife and mother who gave all to her family.  She worked as an administrative secretary for many years.  After retiring she was able to enjoy more time baking, crocheting, quilting and gardening.  She enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends.  She was an avid collector of angels.  Jo was a founding member of the Tree City Quilters, a past member of the Wayne County Care Center Auxiliary and she had been a past volunteer at Hospice.

Josephine is survived by her four children David (Janet) Cermely, Pamela (Claude) Suissa, LJM Cermely, and Laura (Gary) Undercoffer.  Her grandchildren are Brandon, Ashley, Jessica, Ryan, Brianna, Joshua and Stacy.  Her great-grandchildren are Vivian, Bryon, Abrianna, Amelia, Avery, Olivia, Ivan and Conall.

Mom will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery alongside her devoted husband in a private internment with close family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wayne County Care Center Auxiliary, 876 S. Geyer Chapel Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or Ohio’s Lifecare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

Calling hours will be held on December 16, 2023 at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a Service of Christian Burial following at the funeral home.
