Wade Neal Cleaver, 63, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Wooster Community Hospital.

He was born April 26, 1960 in Wooster. On September 29, 2003 he married Rebecca “Becky” Stroud.  She survives.

Wade was the owner of Round The Clock Child Care, LLC and was known as Grampy to his day care grandchildren.  He was a safety & environmental manager for Kidron Incorporation and a self-employed contractor.  Wade was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, who loved camping, pokers run in IL, NC, and Wooster and traveling the US with his “brothers”.  He enjoyed camping with friends at Lake Wapusun and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was very full of life.

Wade was a member of the Rolling Thunder Chapter 3 in Illinois, and former member of The Eagles in Illinois.

In addition to his wife, Becky, he is survived by his children Justin Cleaver, of IL, Rachelle (Tim) Godek of Wooster, David Stroud of Wooster, Michael (Jen) Casey of Wooster, Candice (Scott) Varju of Sanford, NC, Kelsey (Craig) Mast of Kidron, Kallie (Seth) Weisgarber of Boliver, Wade N. (Rosa) Cleaver, Jr. of Apple Creek, Elizabeth (Wes) Taylor of Shreve and Launie Dies of Wooster; 29 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Melody (Mike) Hardy of Olney, IL; uncle Thomas E. (Tammy) Rottinghaus Sr.; nephew Dylan Herman; niece Samantha (Elliot) Brazil and many other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Billy Neal Cleaver and Susan Kay Rottinghaus Martin; grandparents.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

There will be no service.
