Kody M. Adams, 18, of Wooster was taken from us in the early morning hours on Saturday, November 18, 2023, alongside his best friend, AJ Casey.

Kody was a 2023 graduate of Triway High School and the Wayne County Schools Career Center Ag Mechanics program.

Kody lived life to the fullest.  His robust spirit lit up any room when he walked through the door.  His contagious laugh, goofy faces, silly dances and crazy noises were like no other.  He was quite a car enthusiast; his love for vehicles began when he was just a small boy and continued until the very end.  If it was fast and loud, he loved it.  Kody often went to car meets with his fellow car lovers.  Those same friends showed up for him in full force on Sunday and held a meet in memory of him and AJ.  It was a wonderful celebration of the boys and the things they loved.

Kody loved riding 4 wheelers, mini bikes, and BMX.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved all things outdoors.  He was also a self proclaimed “Guru Breakfast sandwich maker” which he claims to have mastered.  Kody was a son, brother, grandson, friend and his absolute favorite role, the best uncle in the world.  He cherished his 2 nieces and nephew more than anything and was a shining star in their life as they were his.

Kody and his beautiful girlfriend, Audrey Brookshire, recently discovered that they would be expecting a child in July.  A gift that we will love and treasure, as his spirit carries on for us.

Kody leaves behind his mother Tammy Palmer Adams and father Junior Adams both of Wooster; sisters Amber Detweiler of Shreve and Kylie Adams of Wooster; grandparents Bobbi Smith and Terry Palmer; nieces Brynn and Mila; nephew Easton; the love of his life, Audrey Brookshire and their unborn child as well as many many friends.

Kody will be greeted on the other side by his grandparents Diana Palmer, Shirley and Milford Adams; uncles Joey Palmer and Billy Adams.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 5, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Freedlander Chalet, 400 Hillside Dr., Wooster, OH 44691

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

You will be forever loved and painfully missed my beautiful son.  The world will never be the same without you. Love, Mom.

“Just remember, I went out with a smile on my face.”

  12. Tammy, Amber & Kylie, I’m so sorry for the passing of Kody. He was such a precious soul. The love he had for you and Brynn, Mila & Easton was so evident in the way he looked at you all. He was so full of love and adoration for his family. He showed that same love and adoration for Audrey. I loved seeing all the pictures he would post of the two of them together. Cherish that love he had for all of you. He will always be close by…looking after you. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all! 💞

  15. Tammy, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember this precious young son of yours coming into the hospital waiting for his momma to get off work. He was always smiling and full of life. 16. It has taken a while to process this. Kody was larger than life, full of energy, and loved to have fun. He did not like the classroom but he gave it a whirl. My heart goes out to his family who is grieving their brother, uncle, son, and friend. His smile lit up a room and his friends adored and loved him dearly. He had a fan club for sure.

Audrey, what a special gift you have created together and will be a part of you forever. I do hope you stop by and visit us and let us know how we can support you. I am looking forward to seeing you again and holding that baby! Hugs and prayers to all!
