Kyle D. Franks, 53, of Wooster died on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his home.

He was born January 1, 1970 in Wooster to Daniel R. and Anita Carney Franks.  He was a 1988 graduate of Wooster High School and had worked in both retail and factories.

Kyle was an avid collector of comic books, magazines and collectable figures and toys. He was a talented cartoonist and writer with many people around the community owning some of his work.

He is survived by his mother, Anita; brothers Keith (Connie) Franks and Kirk (Bobbi) Franks all of Wooster along with several nieces and nephews.

Kyle was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

  2. My deepest condolences to the Franks family. Whenever I think of Kyle, I am immediately transported to Parkview with some doodle being created or some sort of fun happening in his presence. There was always a kindness held in
    his smile. Peace to you Kyle, my friend.

  6. I just spoke with him a few days ago. We both enjoy collecting vintage items from our childhood. Kyle, fly high my friend/classmate. I hope to see you again in the flip side.

  7. Worked with Kyle at Kmart for a lot of years. Always had a story. Loved his drawings.

  8. Kyle was one of the smartest, most clever friends I grew up with. I have many fond memories of him walking from his grandfather’s (Leroy) house over to my house on Oak Hill Road. He had amazing artistic talents and a great sense of humor. Lots of love for Kyle. He left this world way too soon.

  9. My condolences to Mrs. Franks and the Franks family. I’m so sorry to learn of Kyle’s passing. I’ll remember his artistic talent, the mischievous twinkle in his eyes and his dry, humorous wit.
