Lynn S. Taylor, 83, of Shreve died on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Danbury Senior Living of Wooster.

He was born September 18, 1940 in Wooster to James and Elinor McIlvaine Taylor.  On April 13, 1963, he married Judy Kinney.  She survives.

Lynn was a graduate of Wooster High School and had attended Heidelberg College.  He retired in 1991 after 31 years as a civil engineer with ODOT.  With the help of Judy, he built the home where they lived for over 31 years.  Lynn loved the outdoors, fishing and his wooded acreage in Holmes County. It was on that property that he built another home for he and Judy to live out their years.  He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan.

Along with his wife, Judy, he is survived by his daughter Rebecca (Andrew) Vaeth of Wooster and grandchildren Erin and Alexander Vaeth; brother-in-law Jack (Bonnie) Kinney.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Theodore Taylor and James B. Taylor.

Friends will be received on Friday January 5, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

  6. Judy, I was so sorry to hear about Lynn’s passing. I just now read his obit. and realized I missed the calling hours. I’m so sorry. I talked with Arlene and I will try to get to January’s Ladies’ Luncheon. I hope to see you soon. Love, Pat Munn
