Joel A. Christopher, 68, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024, in Akron.

He was born on November 25, 1955, in Wooster to Burl E.  and Eletha Phillips Christopher.

Joel served in the United States Air Force and Army.  He had worked for 30 years as head of custodial for Wooster City Schools and then as maintenance in the Waterpark at the Columbus Zoo.

Surviving are his children Anthony (Staci) Christopher of Wooster and Cortney Miller of Orrville; 5 grandchildren; a sister Jill Robison; and his beloved dog Lexi.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild; brothers Phillip Christopher and Bobby Christopher; and a sister Deborah Christopher.

No services will be held.

Contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
