Connie Ann Mears, 72, of Wooster passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at her residence.

She was born September 20, 1951, in Chardon to Lawrence and Betty McGurer Mears.

Connie was a caregiver that loved her family dearly.  She especially enjoyed cooking for them.  Connie will be remembered as a “Jack of All Trades” and master of none.  She could build anything and was very crafty and thrifty.  Connie was a very down-to-earth, and real person that did not sugarcoat anything.  She will always be remembered for her love of her Harley’s.

Surviving are her children Lester Darling, Sherrie Darling, Brenda Powell, Shannon Polen and Rose Fortune; grandchildren Damien Darling, Angel Darling, Stephanie Darling, Brittany Icenhower, Patty Icenhower, Chase Icenhower, Brandon Elder, Alex Collins, Eric Powell, Joshua Polen, Justin, Polen, Jerred Polen, Miranda Polen, Haylie Polen and Destiney Starks; great-granddaughter Jaylin Polen and many other great-grandchildren; and brothers Gary Mears and Don Mears.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
