John Allen Carnahan, 77, of Wooster, died on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Wooster Community Hospital.

He was born December 14, 1946 in Cleveland to John William and Harriet Evans Carnahan.

John had worked in the oil field industry for both Cubby and Stone Drilling and then in construction with the Adena Construction Company.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising his beagles, playing cards with his friends and watching Cleveland sports.

He is survived by his children John Wayne (Staci) Carnahan, Norman Starling, Samantha (Ryan Culbertson) Carnahan all of Wooster and Gabe Carnahan of Shreve; grandchildren Corbin Carnahan, Mackenzie (Andrew) Hackworth, Mason Tomblin, Seth Carnahan, Chloe Starling and Ava Starling; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Sheryl Brooks and Gary Carnahan both of Wooster and Bill Goddard of New Mexico.

John was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Vanover.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

Contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

  11. I am going to miss you more than anyone!! I saw or talked to you everyday!! I will miss cooking for you!! I will miss taking you around on the third of every month to pay your bills, go out to eat, to the grocery store! We had a wonderful childhood together and great memories!!! I”ll miss you !!
