Emerson L Kain, 83, of Medina, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Medina Meadows Skilled Nursing.

He was born on January 16, 1941, in Wooster to Raymond and Mabel Bengelsdorf Kain. In August of 1964 he married Nancy L. Smith, she preceded him in death in 2022.

Emerson retired from Bosch where he worked as a machine operator.  He enjoyed building radio-controlled boats and airplanes and enjoyed restoring old cars.

He is survived by daughter Angie (Chris) Farmer of Medina, a daughter-in-law Teri Kain of Wooster; grandchildren Brittany Lane, Bethany Hoobler, Broc Root, Cody Kain and Spencer Kain; 10 Great Grandchildren; siblings Sandy Collins, Ann Swartz and Robert Kain all of Wooster.

Along with his wife, Emerson was preceded in death by his parents, a son Tommy E. Kain; siblings Betty Maxwell, Chuck Kain and Richard Kain.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 7:00 PM at Wooster Church of the Nazarene,3100 Oak Hill Rd., Wooster with Pastor Joel Yates officiating.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.

  1. Sandi, I did not know that Emerson was your brother. I worked with him at Bosch for years. I always enjoyed talking to him. Such a nice guy. He actually did a patch job on my car that someone had backed into. Did a great job. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and family.

  2. I worked with Emmy and his sidekick Jerry at Rexroth. He always had a story to tell or a joke to pull. He was quite the character.
