Mary L. Mulhollan, 91, formerly of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.  Mary was born June 18, 1932 in Wayne County, the daughter of Clarence and Gertrude Rohr Mulhollan.  She graduated from Creston High School in 1950.

For over 35 years Mary was employed by the Kroger Company and a member of the UFCW.  She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  Mary loved cooking, especially for the holidays and summer family gatherings, and was a Euchre card shark.  She and her sister Marjorie traveled widely and enjoyed gardening, big band and country music, cards and photography.

Surviving is a brother Paul (Bonnie) Mulhollan of Wadsworth; nieces Jacqueline (Randall) Wallace of Medina, Julia Wagner of Stow and nephew Father John Mulhollan of Medina; great nieces and nephews Daniel Wallace, Kelley (Felipe) Mamede, Patrick Wagner and Caroline Wallace.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Marjorie Mulhollan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Fr. Stephen Moran and Fr. John Mulhollan as celebrants.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mary’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the caregivers and staff of the Village of St. Edward Wadsworth and Summa Akron City Hospital.

  2. My deepest condolences to all of you. Mary was such a nice person and I’ve enjoyed getting to know her and have had some great conversations with her over the past five years. I’m sure going to miss her and seeing all of you too. So happy for her though that she is with her sister again. Love and prayers to you all!

  3. I grew up being neighbors with the Mulhollans and remember Marg and Mary fondly. . My condolences to the family, Mary was so sweet and caring. I loved being neighbors with them, they will hold a special place in my heart.

  4. I’m sorry for your loss. Mary was my godmother. She worked at Kroger with my mom many many years ago. I last saw her at my dad’s funeral at St. Mary’s back in 2014. Keeping her family in my thoughts.

  5. Mary worked at Kroger with my father for many years. I met her over 60 years ago and remember her as such a kind, pleasant, and engaging person. My sincere sympathy to her family.

  6. My parents worked with Mary at Kroger many years ago. I remember her when mom and I would go shopping there. Always a smile on her face, such a sweet woman. Please accept my condolences on your loss.

  7. I had the good fortune to get to know Mary as a resident here at the Village of St.Edward in Wadsworth. What a precious woman she was, always interested in others. She truly appreciated her caregivers and they loved her. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing her was enriched by her caring ways, her loving heart. She will certainly be missed by all of us. We have been richly blessed. May her wonderful family rejoice in their fond memories and be at peace, knowing that she’s sharing in the glory of the God she knew, loved and served so very well. Rest in God’s loving embrace, dear Mary!

  8. I had the privilege of working with Mary at Kroger’s in Wooster, and meeting up with her on occasion in later years. It was so nice to visit with her a few times at St Edward. She was a sweet person, always interesting, and kind. She will be fondly remembered by our family.
