Charles “Jack” Leonard, 90, of Wooster died on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

He was born July 11, 1933 in Punxsutawney, PA to William S. and Frances Graffius Leonard.  On July 11, 1955, he married Doris “Jean” Miller.  She survives.

Jack had worked as a time study engineer for Superior Switchboard, which was a division of Union Metal.  He had also owned and operated “Jack’s Place” and had been a part time paramedic in North Canton.  He was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church and the Masons.  Jack served his country in the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed camping, boating, leatherworking and woodworking.

Along with his wife of over 68 years, Jack is survived by his sons David K. (Pamela) Leonard of Wooster and Scott W. (Tonya) Leonard of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Josh and Alex Leonard, Helena (Ryan) Falk, Vernon Steiner and Allison (Justin Pryatel) Steiner and great grandchildren Rylen and Lydia Falk.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dale R. Leonard and a brother.

Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family with inurnment in the Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in Canton.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
