David D. Mast, 83, of Apple Creek died on Monday, February 26, 2024 surrounded by family following a stroke.

He was born on January 30, 1941 in Wayne County to Daniel D. and Sarah Yoder Mast.  He had worked as a machinist for Regal Ware for 26 years.

David attended Fairlawn Mennonite Church.  He enjoyed raising ponies and Haflinger horses, gardening, building and selling coffee tables, growing beautiful flowers, selling blue barrels and viewing antique cars.  David was very sociable and loved spending time with his family and many long-time friends.

He is survived by his four daughters Linda Aiken of Wooster, Erica (Lewis) Graham of West Augusta, VA, Clara (David) Miller of Wooster and Rhonda (Rodney) Ling of Millersburg; grandchildren Shaunette Perez, Troy Aiken, Luke and Caleb Graham, John Miller, Misty and Miranda Ling; several great grandchildren; brothers Eli (Sarah) Mast, Chris (Ruth) Mast and Daniel D. Mast, Jr.; sisters Susie (Mose) Miller, Saloma (Calvin) Anderson and Emma (Joe) Daughtry along with many nieces and nephews.  David shared a special relationship with his loving companion of 20 years, Marceil Steiner.

David was preceded in death by his parents; sister Katie Yoder; brother Paul Mast; stillborn infant daughter Debra Marie Mast; granddaughter Sierra Mast.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Fairlawn Mennonite Church, 8520 Emerson Rd., Apple Creek with Pastor Steve Bixler officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Maple Grove Memorial Park.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation for the love and care expressed by Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare to David in his final months.
