Shannon Y. Lane, 52, of Rittman, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Smithville Western Care Center.

She was born May 14, 1971 in Ashland to Tom and Ramona Good Hicks.  On November 22, 1990, she married Orbrey L Lane, Jr.  He preceded her in death in 2021.

Shannon had worked in the medical records department at Dunlap Memorial Hospital for many years.  She enjoyed traveling with her friends and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Brandon (Kaitlin) Lane of Barberton and Brittni (Zachary) Slabaugh of Wooster; grandchild Montgomery Slabaugh and has two more on the way and her mother of Danville.

Along with her husband, Shannon was preceded in death by her father and a sister.

Services will be announced at a later date.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  1. Go fly my best friend until we meet again. Your kids and grandbabies need a guardian angel bless them with ypur heavenly love and protection. You and Ponch turn up ypur tunes and dance/ smile/ love . You better be at that gate when I get there see cause I made need a lil boost climbing over if my naughty list is to long. Aweee I’ll miss our jokes silliness that only we appreciated haha. Go rest high on thst mountain girl your suffering down here is done my love. Save me a seat next to you my sister.
