Leola M. Webb, 102, of Wooster died on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

She was born December 24, 1921 in Burton City to Merle and Lottie McComas Wakefield.  On May 25, 1941, she married Howard E. Webb.  He preceded her in death in 2009.

Leola was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and had worked for the Board of Elections for over 17 years.  She was very active in the Republican Party and enjoyed camping, fishing and helping people.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Stutzman of Wooster; grandchildren Chad Emmelheintz of Lakeville, Kim Emmelheintz of Columbus, Kelly Stutzman of Wooster and Jason Stutzman of Dalton; great grandchildren Lily Graves, Brooke Stutzman and Bristol Stutzman.

Along with her husband, Leola was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Sandra Valcore and Liv Lambert; sisters Viola Moffet and Juanita Westover and a brother Delbert Wakefield.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.  Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 Pm at the funeral home.

  5. Deepest Sympathy to Cindy, Olivia and their families. Special memories of when the Webbs operated a little general store in Reedsburg, They moved to Wooster when Sandra was a baby and started a new business, Webb Heating, I think it was called.
