Thomas J. Green, 70, of Wooster died on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital in Canton.

He was born May 28, 1953 in Wooster to Donald and Mary Elizabeth Blakker Green.  On April 21, 2007 he married Mikki Grosjean.  She survives.

Tom had been a truck driver for J.D. Empire for many years.  He was a member of the Eagles, Lamplighters, Beer Can Collectors of America and was a charter member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Tom enjoyed playing guitar and was in several local bands, most recently Tom Foolery.  He also was an avid collector of beer cans and vinyl records and played darts in many different leagues.

Along with his wife, Tom is survived by his children Shane (Alyssa) Green of Wooster and Sara (James Boyd) Green of Cincinnati; grandson Warren Green; brother Kenneth (Mona) Green of NM along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

  5. I have known Tom 62 years , hung out at his parents house for years , played in 2 bands with him , such a great guy ,he will be missed. Love and peace ✌️ to you.

  9. Shane and Sara, I am so sorry for your loss. Tom was an incredible person—so talented, so upbeat and funny, and so caring of others. I enjoyed every minute I spent with him. My sister Mary loved you all and you were an important part of her life. I’m grateful she brought Tom into my life. This is a loss for anyone who knew him.

  16. It seems like yesterday that we were watching our young families grow up together at Prairie Lane. Tom was always alot of fun. Our condolences go out to his family
