Charles Kenneth Sword, folded his final hand Earth side and entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2024 at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Chuck was born on August 25,1950 in Massillon, Ohio to Olin and Marie (Bonk) Sword. He was a lifelong resident of Wayne County and worked in various industrial and caretaking positions. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing football for Dalton High School, camping and fishing.

He was an avid poker and euchre player and was always up for a trip to a casino with those he loved the most. Chuck had a fun-loving spirit, a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will forever be remembered by those who knew him best as the gambler, and was affectionately referred to as such by his special nephew Patrick Sword. The dealin’s done here on earth, Dad, but we have peace knowing you walked away to the most glorious game and we will join you at that table one day to play another hand

He is survived by daughters Melanie (Christopher) Grabowski and Serena (Nathan Fries) Sword, beloved significant other Jacke Crook, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brothers David (Linda) Sword, Timothy Sword, 2 nephews and 2 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joseph Sword and sister Ruth Sword Shaw.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Stanwood Cemetery at the corner of Alabama St SW and Stanwood St SW in Navarre. Friends can gather in fellowship immediately following the service directly across the street at Stanwood Community Church, 14715 Stanwood St., SW Navarre.
