Karl Wesley “Wes” Carmony, 69, of Wooster, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, March 29, 2024.

He was born in Wooster to W.J. “Junior” Carmony and Maxine (Shelly) Carmony on March 2, 1955. He was a bulk milk hauler for many years and then went on to drive trucks for several other companies for many years.

While raising his children, he always enjoyed watching them participate in their Wayne County Fair 4-H projects. In his later years, he loved spoiling his grandchildren with candy.

An avid groundhog hunter, he loved keeping them clear of his brother’s farm. He also enjoyed participating in local tractor pulls.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children Jennifer (Jim) Thorn, Kim (Jay) Ott, Clinton (Traci) Carmony and Molly (Phillip) Harland; siblings Connie (Robert) Mason and Stanley (Karen) Carmony; grandchildren Jenna and Justin Thorn, Tucker and Isaac Ott, Alexander Graham, Brittney, Gwendolyn, Alicia, Phillip Jr. and Connor Harland; and a great-granddaughter, Paislee Ott.

He was preceded in death by his father; a stepfather, George Shelley; and a grandson, Jacob Carmony.

Family and friends may call Friday, April 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, OH 44691

    A donation has been made in memory of Mr. Carmony to the First United Methodist Food Bank, Whitwell, TN. It is specified for the weekend “backpack” food program at the local school.

  4. Dad you will be missed so much. We loved getting your dad jokes, hearing how many groundhogs you shot and receiving the text message “when is NASCAR on”. Keep on trucking til we meet again.
