Jane Catherine-Rose (Iannarelli) Moses, 87 of Wooster passed away on March 30, 2024, at West View Healthy Living following a brief illness.

She was born January 23, 1937, in Wooster, the daughter of Angelo and Leonora (Yankello) Iannarelli. She married the love of her life, Duane E. Moses on May 24, 1958, spending 62 years together prior to his passing in 2020.

From 1958 – 1972, she lived in Texas, California, Wyoming, and Indiana, as her husband had been enlisted with the US Air Force.  Following Duane’s retirement from the USAF, they returned to Wooster in 1972 because it was important to them to raise their girls near family.  She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church and profoundly dedicated to her faith, Jesus, and the Blessed Mother. She loved going to garage sales, baking, reading, documenting thoughts and family memories, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Jeanine (Dale) Ickes of Wooster, and Angela (Chad) Flickinger of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren Hillary, Jared, Jason, and Alex Ickes and Sawyer Flickinger; sister Rose Marie (Henry) Tomasetti and brother Thomas (Karen) Iannarelli, both of Wooster, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and greats.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother William “Billy”, and infant sister Anna May.

The family extends the deepest thanks to the staff of West View Healthy Living, all their family and friends.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church, P.O. Box 109, Wooster, OH 44691

Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Friday, April 5, 2024, 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

  4. Jeanine, Angela, and family, my heart is truly breaking for all of you. It is such a strange feeling to know that Jane is no longer in this world. No more late night phone calls from her, no surprise visits, and especially no talking, and reminiscing about the past with her. I lost my buddy, my cousin, and my Godmother! Her Catholic faith was so strong, and love for Jesus. I have never known anyone quite like Jane! I will miss her beyond words. She is now with all her loved ones that have gone before her. She was always expressing to me just how much she missed them! I know she is in Heaven. Rest in peace Jane! ♥️

  8. Dear and sweet cousin, Janie. You were far more than a cousin to my sister, Cathy and me. From our earliest school days, you were our voluntary guardian angel on the city bus who not only looked out for Cathy and me but treated us so lovingly. Plus, you taught us how to blow bubble gum as you could. Our bus rides with you were so much fun. You have been so genuinely kind to so many throughout your life. I’ll miss our phone calls. God blessed you with virtues only few possess. Rest in peace with your soulmate Duane, Uncle Bob, Aunt Leonora and dear cousin, Billy, and dear baby Anna May. Blessings to your surviving family members and your many friends.
