“Together Again”

Robert “Bob” Ray Frank, 89, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at West View Healthy Living.

He was born on April 5, 1934, in Wayne County to Donald Ray and Gladys Marie Schmid Frank.  On August 23, 1953 he married Nancy Jo Austen. She preceded him in death in 2014.

Bob was a volunteer for People to People and Wooster City Schools.  He loved gardening, was an avid walker, Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed time with his family.  He worked for Smith Dairy, and helped out on the farm with Dick, Joan and Bill Graham.  He was a a 1952 graduate of Ashland High School.

He is survived by a brother Roger (Marcie) Frank of Wooster, sister Marjorie Tarbuck of Perry; grandchildren Chris (Monica) Frank of Lorain and Bryan (Sarah) Frank of Fredericksburg; great grandchildren Christopher, Marianna, Landon, Sydney and Mason Frank.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, children Cheryl and James Frank, an infant sister Katherine and his parents.

The family would like to thank the staffs of West View Healthy Living and Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare for all of their kindness and care of Bob.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery, 6060 Newkirk Rd. Shreve, with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating.

There will be no calling hours.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wayne County Community Foundation, 517 N. Market St. Wooster, OH 44691, put James & Cheryl Frank Memorial Trust in memo line.

  1. Deepest sympathy for Bob’s family & friends. He and Nancy were the most kind and caring people. May you have peace knowing he is now with Nancy, the love of his life.

  2. Bob always had a smile. He truly brightened my days while we worked with the staff and students of Wooster City Schools. He was a honorable man.

  6. Ken Linz was right, Mr. Frank always had a smile. And he could walk! He and his entire family were the definition of nice and caring.
